Manga is a little like a comic book. The Marvel comics are an Americanised version of Manga, whereas manga is natively from Japan. Manga has a rather distinctive style of large eyes and being slightly disproportioned. Anime is actually a shortened version of 'Animation', but again, the Japanese version. It's like, while America has 'Cartoons', Japan has 'Anime' A lot of mangas are made into anime (And the other way round occasionally) Manga is one of those things that's growing into American culture. I know it was there before it hit England, but I don't know just how popular it is there. This is a page from a manga called 'Love Monster' I just used it as an example as it seems a very 'stereotypical' style for manga. [[Here]]I hope that helped ^-^'

Thanks, now I think I understand it a little better. I guess I am so use to thinking about comic books that I never truly tried to understand what Manga was. I enjoyed reading that Manga.
I understand the Anime and our cartoons. I think people are calling cartoons more Anime now.
Thanks, that did help.

A lot of the things that we watch these days are Anime. Things like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Transformers. They're all anime anyway.
I'm glad I can help!

Yes, I have watched those shows before. I kind of just think that both cartoons and anime are the same things.

They pretty much are the same thing, it's just a different culture. I guess it's slightly like how book styles vary depending on where the auther is from, you know?
